WHAT’S IN THE BAG Hancock’s wild flower seeds for bees contain the following. -Dixie crimson clover -Yellow sweet clover -Berseem clover -White dutch clover -Buckwheat ABOUT OUR FLOWERS THAT ATTRACT BEES – Grows pollen and nectar-producing flowers that attract honey and bumblebees. -Dixie Crimson Clover is a reseeding perennial that is preferred by native pollinators and bumblebees. -Yellow Sweet Clover and Berseem are favorites among both beekeepers and gardeners for their growing habits and abundant yellow and white flowers. -The seed mix includes biennial clovers that will produce light, mild honey. -White Dutch Clover is a shorter perennial clover, and will bloom on-and-off during the summer months. TIPS FOR SUCCESS -Remove all old vegetation to prepare a clean seedbed by means of a rake (lawn) or disc (pasture). -Drag or rake area to loosen and level any hard or uneven spots if needed. -Apply a slow-release starter fertilizer at the recommended rate of 5 – 10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
